Delightful afternoon at Giverny
Our tour guide Christian did a terrific job describing Monet’s time at Giverny. But he also displayed a remarkable knowledge of both art history and historical context so as to bring the area to life. An extremely personable and engaging fellow. We would recommend this tour to anyone, regardless of level of study or knowledge.
Best Day of our Trip!
Thank you to Fred and Veronique for the most wonderful day visiting Monet’s Gardens and the charming village of Giverny. Our family of five loved every minute getting to see some French countryside with great commentary provided by our guides. Fred is so knowledgeable not only about Monet, but also about the interesting history of Paris and the Normandy Region of France. Would highly recommend Parismatic Tours. Hope to return soon to beautiful Paris and book another tour with this tour company. Merci Beaucoup Fred and Veronique, it was a day I will never forget.
My family of 6 is full of art lovers, and we wanted to take a day trip to Giverny to the house of Claude Monet. This tour was fantastic! Fred, our tour guide, picked us up promptly at the set time, and drove us in a very nice van through Paris and out to Giverny. Along the way we get a lot of information of historical background to Monet, including a great overview of French history, as well as the story of Monet himself. Fred was able to answer all our questions and then some; he was very knowledgeable. Once in Giverny, we entered the grounds quickly, and Fred oriented us to the gardens, and then set us loose to explore. When we were done, he had secured a table for us at the busy cafe. It was a great day, one we will long remember!
