This 8 hours private guided tour of Versailles will allow you to discover the most famous palace in the world, the residence of the Louis the XIV, the Sun King.
Being a hunting-lodge of Louis XIII it was Louis XIV who turned it into sumptuous estate. From 1682-1789 Versailles was the seat and the symbol of Absolute monarchy. The estate was modeled according to his wish, his pleasure and magnificence.
You will admire the State Apartments of Louis XIV and the breathtaking Hall of Mirrors. After this amazing visit, you will have free time to discover the beautiful French style gardens with 55 fountains.
A promenade leads from the palace to the Grand Canal, where you will have a lunch break (included in the price) in one of the domain’s historical restaurant La Flottille (Starter, Main Coarse, Wine, Dessert, Coffee included in the price)

After lunch, your guide will take you to visit two other palaces called Grand Trianon and Petit Trianon used like private ones. As with time the main palace became very busy, Louis XIV needed another place to escape from the crowds. That one became Grand Trianon made from pastel-pink marble. Later Louis XV not far from that one built another one for Madame de Pompadour which finally as a gift from Louis XVI on his accession to the throne passed to Marie Antoinette. The palace which is a masterpiece of Neo-classical architecture. You will also discover the Queen’s Hamlet, a stylized Norman village which made her English garden so famous.

In spring and summer period (from 01/04 to 31/10) on the weekends, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the majestic fountain shows across the gardens.

Please note: The “Musical Gardens” run every Tuesday from March 27 through May 15, 2019 (Except May 1st and May 8) as well as every Tuesday From July 3rd Through October 30th, 2019, and every Friday from April 6th through October 26/ 2019. During this period, access to the gardens will be included.
The “Musical Fountains” run every Saturday and Sunday from March 31st through October 28, 2019 as well as Public Holidays (May 8, May 10 and August 15/2018) plus Friday, March 30 and Tuesdays from May 22nd through June 26/2019. During this period, access to the gardens will be included.

After this fabulous visit, your guide-driver will take you back to Paris and drop you off at your residence.

A full day trip to Loire Valley the birthplace of French Renaissance with over 120 châteaux. Your professional guide-driver will help you to discover 3 of most beautiful and interesting castles of Royal valley, the great Amboise, the gracious Chenonceau and the grandiose Chambord.

You will reach towards Amboise, with its spectacular view over the Loire river, with his saint Hubert Chapel, famous for being the last resting place of Leonardo da Vinci and with its massive gothic defensive features it evokes that bygone era of knights on horseback.
Near Amboise you will stop at Clos Lucé for some quick pictures, which used to be the official residence of Leonardo da Vinci, between 1516 and 1519.

Then you will continue your trip to discover a real jewel, Chenonceau with his magnificent gardens. It’s a beautiful mixture between Gothic and Renaissance styles. Chenonceau is a unique castle, spanned over the river Cher, called also “Chateau des dames”, its ornately carved decoration and history of romance and rivalry, this Château lives up to its passionate reputation and has been seducing visitors for hundreds of years.

In the afternoon, you will finally discover Chambord, the most grandiose of the Châteaux. You will see, boasting massive medieval towers perfectly blended with Renaissance elegance. Set in 13,000 acres of parkland this former royal residence represents the pinnacle of France’s 16th century architectural revolution, and the double helix spiral staircase at the heart of the Château, attributed to Leonardo da Vinci is simply mind-blowing.
After your visit of Chambord, you will head back to Paris.
